Qualification comes first from interest, then from studies, and last from experience.

  • Aim to choose a holistic vet. A holistic vet is not one who proclaims to be "holistic", but one who acknowledges the Purpose of Treatment in that very order, and who is well-versed in treating your dog overall, not merely focusing on the symptoms of the single condition at this time.
  •  

  • A holistic vet is one whose passion is to consider the connectivity of all ailments and treatments over the entire lifetime of your dog, because (s)he acknowledges the Foundation of Health. Holistic is an attitude, not a study.
  •  

  • Such veterinarian may at times cost a little more initially - because it is impossible for them to obtain perks from pharma and "pet food" industries! - but such veterinarian costs much less overall because you don't have to visit them subsequently to treat all the "side effects" that visiting an allopathic vet involves!
