After so many years online unfortunately we have experienced SO MUCH BADNESS in the web hosting business that we could publish a multimedia book on all their awfulness! To show everyone what to be aware of. What to avoid. And how to avoid it.

All tinsel and glitter. Boasting on their websites, but doing the opposite after you paid (ideally for three years in advance). Zero ethics, a lot outside the law, endless wrong-doing but never even so much as an apology. The garbage of mankind.

Right now there's no time for the multimedia book, but here's our Shortlist To Avoid:

  • Justhost
  • Webhostinghub
  • Downtownhost
  • Godaddy
  • Bluehost
  • 1&1
  • Hostgator
  • Dreamhost

One worse than the other! Of course you might be lucky with any of these, but that would be luck. Luck is not something to count on in business or life.

Is this site working now?

Thank you Linda, feedback welcome! True, none of the links (on the site, in books) will work when the hosting server has a problem.
Hopefully the new hosting company will perform better, we are paying them 4.5 times(!) as much though. :-?

  2.

I will need a good host when we get to the UK, are you going to let me know which was is a KEEPER.
    PS
Everyone say a little prayer for Jasper, who is going to the vets tomorrow, and is going to come back a CHANGED dog.
