==> Bringing Home a New Puppy soon?

Your New Puppy deserves a great start!

New Puppy Checklist!

This MYGERMANSHEPHERD PERIODICAL was meant to provide a concise overview on all those nitty-gritty puppy preparations. But then I realized: What can be more concise than a real CHECKLIST? Right!

Me being me, this ended up becoming another PRESENT FOR YOU: A comprehensive and elegant...

Particularly useful for those who plan to get their first puppy soon. However, I expect it to come handy for experienced dog owners as well.

So, do bookmark and/or download this. And, if nothing else, keep this for ... your next puppy! :-)

This Checklist is useful for a very small puppy, and also for an older puppy - say rescued from a GSD Rescue Center. Because, to some extent even say a 9 months old dog that we introduce into our home can provide challenges similar to those of a small pup.

Therefore here, we cover topics such as:

  • Bringing home a new puppy
  • What do I need for a new puppy?
  • Puppy-proofing your home
  • First night with new puppy
  • New puppy care
  • Training a new puppy

And many useful new puppy tips!

Introducing new dog to current dog and such topics, we will leave for next week's New Dog Checklist - ie bringing home an adult dog, say from a GSD Rescue Center (hopefully)!

New Puppy Checklist

Click to save this high-value pdf locally. I have made this as concise as possible. Still, I needed 3 large DIN A4 pages, so sorry.

This is what a Top dog expert says:
Find out more: Click to save vet cost, training cost, and your nerves!

Edit: Okay, I came back to this now. Please note that I prepared both Checklists some years ago and haven't looked at them anymore, because both of them exist meanwhile as books/booklets, and the books have received several updates already. However, the books are of course longer than three pages, ie you cannot stick them on your fridge. :-(

So, if you seek "as short as possible" then just download the above New Puppy Checklist only. Conversely, if you seek to get my most up-to-date New Puppy Checklist incl. more explanations, then you may prefer the book form: New Puppy Checklist. It's completely FREE as well!

Note that this link leads to Smashwords, because Amazon do not allow perma-free books (permanently free), but I have made the New Puppy Checklist perma-free, and Smashwords allow that. The added benefit is: You can download it from Smashwords in any format you like, incl. for Apple iPad.

Everything you need to know (and I mean EVERYTHING!), before you even get the puppy. And not just for German Shepherds either. This is a must for all new puppy owners. I have told many people about this site, and how much you help people have great relationships with their dogs. This checklist is the first place to start.
    Thanks Tim

This checklist is great. We've had the puppy training essentials up in the kitchen so this will be a great addition to refer to. Thanks Tim :0)

Please note that I haven't updated/improved this one, ever. While the edition as book is top-notch, and now free on Smashwords!
Amazon don't allow perma-free books, but they will price-match when their server recognizes the book is perma-free elsewhere.

Thanks for reminding me to write that here Julie :-)

A definite must have for all puppy owners! These are great concise "reminders" of all you cover in your puppy handbook. Perfect to hang on the refrigerator! Thanks Tim!
