cure-definition

Google documents that the terms cure, cause, disease, and sign vs symptom belong to the most ambiguous both in medical writings and common parlance. Overall, clarity in terminology is lacking, frankly it's a mess.

cure-definition

I aim to reserve each term for its disjunct circumstances, avoiding the ambiguity that has resulted in the dubious treatment attempts in allopathic medicine, at best.

What is Cure?

Cure is the complete reversal of the impact on the organism of the cause of a defect, disorder, or disease.

Thus be aware that cure requires the cause to have been eliminated, not the symptom. Oddly enough, throughout medicine this bit is accepted as fact.

Now note that this implies that the treatment of symptoms can never provide cure of sickness. Oddly enough, with the exception of cancer treatment, throughout medicine this bit is not accepted as fact.

From medication package inserts to pharma literature to medical journals, they all suggest healing is within arm's reach! And healing is a synonym for cure - at least in my understanding.

But the treatment of symptoms is the outspoken goal of allopathic medicine, with its "symptom bestsellers": painkillers and steroids and NSAIDs.

Because, for allopathic medicine symptom equals sickness.

Something's gotta be wrong there.
